The spacious, open planning which blur the boundaries between the kitchen and the living space make you feel good. The carefully renovated period apartment has the ideal layout for the retired couple. The cubic island with integrated bar that defines the architecture of the room and at the same time is visually unobtrusive forms the centre of the kitchen. The dining area is chracterised by a small library with a display unit. “We belong to the paper generation and also appreciate beautiful things”, states the homeowner. A matter we had to resolve was where to store everything we used to keep in the cellar and other places. A surprising idea was born: the ‘multifunctional unit’ by the entrance to the apartment.
